Biography

Gregor graduated from The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2018, attaining a Bachelor of Education in Music with Honours degree. Throughout his academic journey, he specialised in trumpet and conducting under Nigel Boddice MBE, and piano under Anna Rastopchina. Gregor is an accomplished freelance professional musician, musical director, and composer, frequently showcasing his talents as a solo artist, with bands, and in accompaniment of various performers. With an extensive portfolio of work, Gregor has notably served as the Musical Director for several productions, including West Side Story, Rent, Legally Blonde, Sister Act, and Elf. His professional engagements extend to multiple pantomimes with Imagine Theatre and performing as a pit musician as a trumpet and keyboard player, including deputising on the UK tour of Singin’ in the Rain. In addition to his live performances, he has contributed as a music producer and editor for a TV game show in collaboration with the BBC. Beyond his musical pursuits, Gregor enjoys activities such as watching football, maintaining an active lifestyle at the gym, savouring coffee, and indulging in fine cuisine.
 

Gregor is passionate about making the world a more accessible place, with a particular focus on theatres and music venues. Living with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (Brittle Bones), he uses crutches daily and a wheelchair for longer distances. While managing stairs is not an issue for him, Gregor is acutely aware of the persistent accessibility challenges that limit inclusion for both performers and audiences in many venues.

As a musician, Gregor recognises the underrepresentation of artists with physical disabilities and is dedicated to driving change. He envisions a future where the arts are truly inclusive, breaking down barriers that prevent talented individuals from thriving in the industry. Gregor's leadership is rooted in his lived experience and his unwavering commitment to fostering accessibility and equality in the arts.
